I am running a task sequence from MDT 2010 to sysprep and capture an image of my reference computer.  No problems there.  I deploy that image to the same or another computer.  No problems there.  The problem is that after I deploy this custom image, my network connection isn't right.  I noticed within XP that the MAC address of the network adapter is set to all zeros, therefore, it cannot get a valid IP address for proper network connectivity.  This has to be something that sysprep is doing to the system with regards to the networking and/or NIC drivers because a clean install of XP from source files results in a normal, functioning network connection.  Because of this problem, my task sequence never fully completes.  The only way to gain connectivity from this is to enter the advanced network adapter options and use the "locally administered address" option to manually specify a MAC address.  Of course, this is undesirable.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Someone suggested that I create selection profiles to install the correct NIC driver.
